While you do not have to be best friends with your neighbors, living near friendly, respectful people makes your living arrangement a lot more pleasant.

While apartment living is not as long-term a commitment as buying, you still need to make sure your location is convenient to your work, shopping, family and friends. Determine in advance how far you are willing to drive and remember that a longer commute may mean a lower priced apartment.
